Terms of Use
Effective date: September 29, 2026
By using ZoningPoint you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the site is for
ZoningPoint helps you find the official zoning maps and zoning codes published by cities and counties across the United States. Most maps and codes are hosted by the local governments themselves, and we link to them. We check links and update them when governments change their websites, but local governments change zoning and move documents without telling us, so any map or code we link to may be out of date, moved or incomplete.
ZoningPoint is a research tool, not legal advice and not an official zoning determination. Before you buy, build, appraise, lend or make any other decision that depends on a property's zoning, confirm it with the local planning or zoning department that has authority over the property.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Give accurate information when you sign up. If you manage a team, you are responsible for the people you add to it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or are used to abuse the site.
Things you send us
When you send a correction, a broken link report, feedback or a suggestion, you give us permission to use it to improve the site, with no payment and no obligation to use it. Send only material you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, abusive or misleading.
Using our content
The design, text and organization of ZoningPoint, including our database of map and code links, belong to ZoningPoint. Zoning maps and codes belong to the governments that publish them. You may link to any page on the site. You may not copy the directory in bulk, scrape the site, or use automated tools to download its content without written permission.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break into the site, overload it, get around account or usage limits, interfere with other visitors, or use it for anything unlawful.
Links to other websites
Most links on ZoningPoint go to government websites and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
No warranty
ZoningPoint is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it is complete, accurate, current or always available, and to the extent the law allows we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, ZoningPoint is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on zoning information found on or through the site. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to 100 US dollars.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address, with the effective date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
